Emptor Telco - Product Management

Emptor Telco’s Product Management module is based on the TMForum’s SID (Shared Information and Data Model) standard. The products are defined as bundles made up of customer facing services (CFS) and physical resources (PR). These product components can be defined as optional or mandatory. This definition is the technical composition of products. The commercial aspects of the products are defined as offerings. The offering entities will be used to offer the products and services to different geographical locations, to different customer segments, distribution channels, with different taxation rules, payment currencies and methods and other eligibility rules. The same product can be presented to the customers over different offerings with different contractual terms like:
  • Validity period
  • Minimum contract period, notification period, contract renewal period
  • Tariff information for customer facing services which are billed over usage
  • Recurring fees (recurrence period, price)
  • One-time fees
The product definition supports an approval process to support error free product and offering launches, promotion campaigns.
